About Irongold
Irongold builds software for Department of War teams, including agentic workflows. We work with program owners, acquisition leads, and end users to define what the software needs to do.
Our engineers build with your team. After handoff, your people can run and change the software. They are not required to maintain it.
War Factory
War Factory is how we deliver a defined capability. Irongold leads the engineering alongside your team and turns each acceptance criterion into an automated check. Your people make changes with approved AI, and a change ships only if it passes those checks.
You do not need a finished specification to begin. We define what must run in production, how you will accept it, and where it will run. Irongold builds in an environment you already run, so there is no new platform to accredit. Price is quoted after we define the capability. There is no public rate card.
After handoff, you have the source, the documentation, and government purpose rights or broader. Keep Irongold to maintain and improve it when that helps.
When War Factory fits
Most teams already have a way to get this work done. Each one has a good reason behind it.
By hand. Nothing new to buy or accredit, and the people doing the work know the rules. The cost comes with each change: staff time, and rules that leave when people rotate. War Factory writes those rules into the software and tests each change before it ships.
Through the contract you have. The vendor is already on contract, so there is no new competition. Each change waits in the vendor’s queue, and some need a modification. War Factory puts handoff and practice in the terms, so your people can make the next change.
Through a government software team. They bring government engineers and accredited pipelines. They serve many programs, so one team’s workflow can wait its turn. Irongold builds in an environment you already run, and you keep control of what we deliver.
With a chat tool. It is already approved, and people know how to use it. It drafts text and answers questions. It does not run the workflow or check the result against your rules. War Factory puts approved AI inside the workflow, and every change passes your acceptance checks.
On an enterprise tool you already license. The license is often paid, and someone on staff can build a first version. That person then becomes the developer. With War Factory, your people change rules and templates. They are not required to maintain the software.
By buying a commercial product. If the workflow is common across the Department and rarely changes, a commercial product may serve you better. We will say so.
